This research is under the project "ITCHY2 study, Ivermectin Therapy in Children Younger than 2 years of age". This project has the ethical approval of The Royal Children’s Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) Australia, dated 8 April 2024. The research also receives approval from the National Ethics Committee for Health Research (NECHR), Ref. No. 70 NECHR, dated 24 July 2024.

  1. It is required to share research results and related publications with the local project partners and the Lao ABS authority to acknowledge the resource providers.
  2. This permission is used only for this specific research mentioned above.
  3. If further experiment on the resource mentioned above is used for commercialization purposes, the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Australia, must inform the authorities, and a MAT must be established.
The collected samples or biological resources are not allowed to the third party without permission from the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute and the ABS authority.

The biological samples collected from this research project will be taken out of Laos to enable investigation into whether Ivermectin that is an appropriate and safe treatment for scabies and other NTDs in children under 2 years at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Australia.
